James Harden: 25.1 pts, 7.5 ast, 6.4 reb

James Harden- SG (HOU) – The Houston Rockets have jumped out to a quick 7-1 start and Harden is a huge reason why. Through 8 games Harden is third in the league in scoring, averaging 25.1 points per game, 7.5 assists, 6.4 rebounds. Harden is playing close to 40 minutes a game, and is a must use in every format of NBA Fantasy until he cools off.

Demarcus Cousins –C (SAC) – Cousins has started this year with a new attitude. As the true leader of the Sacramento Kings, in a close game vs the Denver Nuggets he was subbed out for a quick rest in the normal rotation. During his time on the bench he and fellow teammate Rudy Gay were seen emphatically rooting their teammates on, something Cousins had rarely done over the couse of his career. At this point in the season cousins have averaged a double double per game, 22 points and 11 rebounds, and has yet to have an attitude issue.

Draymond Green-SF (GSW) – Green has stepped up to play a bigger role for the Warriors this season. His minutes are up from 22 per game all the way to 33 due to a great increase in production. He’s averaging 2 more rebounds per game, and about 7 more points. Draymond Green is a young player, who’s ceiling hasn’t been discovered yet.

COLD

LeBron James-SF (CLE) – As we learned a couple years ago when LeBron first went to Miami, its hard to join a team and dominate right away. His numbers have taken a slight hit while building chemistry with his new teammates. His field goal percentage is down to .436 from .567, he’s averaging 4 points less than previous years. Granted these numbers are only slight differences, however I firmly believe it will be a couple months until we see the true LeBron.

Blake Griffin-PF (LAC) – Regardless of his performance on the court, earlier this week news came out that Griffin was charged with a misdemeanor battery following an incident in a Las Vegas Night club. According to TMZ there is video surveillance of the altercation, and there was aggressiveness on Griffin’s end. With all that happened in the NFL this year, don’t be surprised to see the NBA step up and slap Griffin with a suspension.

Dion Waiters-SG (CLE) – Coming into the season, Waiters claimed the combination of both him and Kyrie Irving would create the best backcourt in the league. However so far Waiters has only hurt the Cavs, he is averaging less than 10 points per game and shooting under 35%. While also demanding the ball and making sure he gets his shots up every night.
