Top 5 NBA Point Guards for Fantasy Basketball

Fantasy basketball is right around the corner. Before you know it, you’ll be sitting in front of your computer deciding who to pick for your daily fantasy basketball team. The draft is a very difficult rush of decisions and can be frustrating at times when you don’t get who you want. To make things a little easier, below are the top five point guards you should look at in next year’s fantasy NBA draft.

A versatile point guard is something that comes in abundance now-a-days. Simply put, the NBA is loaded when it comes to the point guard position and it can cause problems when choosing who you want for your team. Let’s get started:

Tony Parker

Tony Parker has been an elite point guard for years now and has been one of the top point guards picked in fantasy basketball for just as long. Last year he averaged 16.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 0.5 steals per game. He has the ability to go for 20 points and 10 assists at any point. Don’t hesitate if you are given the chance to pick him up in your daily fantasy basketball draft.

 John Wall

John Wall has shown improvement in each of his four years in the NBA. This past season was his most successful season in his career and we can expect to see much of the same next season. After averaging 19.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game last season, it was common sense to put him near the top of this list. He has proven himself and shouldn’t be overlooked when it’s time to decide who you want.

Stephen Curry

Stephen Curry has gone from a Cinderella story to one of the best point guards in the league. He is one of the best scoring point guards and certainly one of the most popular point guards come draft day. Last season, he averaged 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.6 steals per game. His 24.0 points per game and 8.5 assists per game were career highs in the midst of his 5-year career. Now going into his sixth year, we should see just as good play from him.

Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook is simply the point guard that can do it all. When healthy, he is one of the most explosive and versatile player in the NBA. He suffered an injury halfway through the season and ended up only playing 46 games in the season. He averaged 21.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game. If you’re looking for someone that can give you every statistic, then choose Russell Westbrook for your daily fantasy basketball team.

Chris Paul

Chris Paul has been a top point guard for as long as I can remember. He continues to bring fantasy owners to satisfaction year after year. Not only is he one of the best passers in the league, if not the best, but he is also a great scorer as well. Last year, he averaged 19.1 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists and 2.5 steals per game. There’s no doubt that Chris Paul should be one of your top choices at the point guard position on draft day.
